In this article we will learn how can we can host our website with another company when our domain name is registered with godaddy.

There are many company that provide very cheap hosting. so we sometimes buy domain with godaddy but we want to host our website in another company. But problem arise when we don’t know how to connect our domain name registered with godaddy to our hosting platform. For this we just need to change your nameservers in our godaddy. Those nameservers will provide to you by your new hosting company.

For example you choose to host your website with Hostgator. Now Hostgator will provide you new nameservers, that you have to update on your gogaddy domain setting. Lets see step by step how to do that.

STEP-1 First get the nameservers from your hosting company. once you buy hosting package,some companies will provide you nameservers by email in your welcome kit. If you did not get it just asked their customer service. they will help you with that.

STEP-2 Login to your godaddy account.

STEP-2 In ‘My Product’ section you will see Domain option and list of your domain names. Now select the domain name to which you to change nameserver. Now you have to go to the DNS management page by clicking on the DNS that is on the right side of your domain name.

STEP-3 On DNS management page find nameservers (you will have to scroll down a little) and then click Change.

STEP-4 Under ‘Choose your new nameserver type‘ select Custom. Now you have to enter the nameservers that your new hosting company gave you. ans click Save.

Thats It. After Updating your nameservers its will tale 24-48 hours to work properly.but somtimes the process is very fast.
